Beneath all the paint and neglect was a mahogany dining suite from the 1920's. Careful staining and coloring and multiple coats of lacquer brought it back to a like-new luster. All hardware was cleaned and buffed and new glass installed in the china cabinet.

  Good furniture is worth restoring. The character and patina are rarely found in new furniture. And often, the sentimental value makes it irreplaceable.
